Skills for Life

We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

We are a thriving Scout Group with a Beaver Colony (for boys and girls aged 6 – 8), a Cub Pack (for boys and girls aged 8 – 10 1/2) and a Scout Troop (for boys and girls aged 10 1/2 – 14).

Welcome to Cookridge Village Scout Group

We are based on Pinfold Lane, Cookridge where we have our own hut and grounds that enable us to run a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Part of the Shire Oak District, the Group was formed in 1949 and was originally based in Moseley Wood Lane. The existing Headquarters on Pinfold Lane was formally opened in 1975 though demand for places meant it was necessary to enlarge the building and the extension was officially opened in 1987.
